Afro Deity Studios is working on several projects that underpin its mission to promote safe spaces for artists and creatives to just "be" for some time and to connect with like-minded people. The idea is th the possibility to escape the external pressures of society for some seconds, minutes, hours, days, or even weeks. This would allow creatives to tap into their inner world, unfold their artistic potential and express themselves through their means of choice.

The web page afrodeitystudios.com is the first project. The goal is to expand the page by continuously adding and growing sections like "projects", "community" and subpages for artists to show their work.

Build Community

As a community-based organization, Afro Deity Studios needs a community to develop and work together on strategies, page content and projects. The idea is to grow the community to a critical size that keeps the initiative organically alive.

Project "Spacescape"

This is project is at the concept stage. The goal is to achieve increased safety of vulnerable and marginalized people in Kenyan society with a focus on artists and creatives by providing a safe space, access to food, medical (including mental/emotional) support, and start-up support for artistic expression and commercialization.

Source: The design is inspired by and based on a draft for the project MAISPACE PLUS, a co-working space in Nairobi open in 2020 (closed due to the pandemic).

Project "The Movie"

This project is a long-term vision. The goal of this project is to create a movie containing animations as envisioned by Arnold. The prerequisite for this project is a community of skilled artists in the space of video and animation.

Project "AD-AI"

This project is a long-term vision. The idea is to make state-of-the-art creative AI tools available to artists from marginalized and low-income social groups. Digital Prototyping enhanced by Artificial Intelligence AI can reduce hurdles limiting entry into the professional art space such as cost of material (paint, canvas, etc.), digital hardware, and software.
